Our Audiologists

 
Layne M. Garrett, Au.D., FAAA, CCC-A
Dr. Garrett was born and raised in American Fork. His family has a long tradition of serving the health needs of the residents of Utah County (his grandfather was Dr. Guy Richards). Following his LDS mission to the deaf in the Boston Massachusetts Mission, he decided to pursue Audiology as a profession. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders from Utah State University, a Master of Science in Audiology from Brigham Young University, and his Doctor of Audiology from the Salus University. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and certified by the American Speech Language-Hearing Association. Prior to opening Timpanogos Hearing & Balance, Dr. Garrett worked for Sonic Innovations in the Customer Care division working with and training hearing professionals across the country to ensure their patient’s hearing aids were working correctly. He also split his time working in the research department at Sonic Innovations. He has served as a mentor for Audiology interns from Utah State University and has lectured Audiology graduate students at Brigham Young University. Dr. Garrett is the Director of Audiology for America Helps (a humanitarian relief organization for Africa) and is active in Local and International Service through Rotary International. He is also actively works with the American Diabetes Association. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, golf and amateur radio. He is married to Kimberlee Bennett from Highland and has 3 children.

 
Steven Forsey, Au.D., FAAA, CCC-A
Dr. Steven Forsey was born and raised in Spanish Fork. He has strong roots in southern Utah County as his family owned and operated “Forsey’s Variety Store” in Spanish Fork, Payson, Nephi and Heber City. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Brigham Young University and his Doctorate of Audiology degree from Idaho State University. Dr. Forsey specializes in hearing aid sales and service, balance and dizziness assessments of adults, diagnostic hearing and pediatric hearing assessments. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and is certified by the American Speech Language-Hearing Association. In his spare time he enjoys snowboarding, hiking, spending time with his family, and changing the air filter is his favorite way to pretend he is good with cars. He is married to Mandy Johnson also from Spanish Fork and has three children.

 
Jeana Bodine, M.S., FAAA, CCC-A
Jeana was born and raised in Lehi, Utah. She is married to Jay and is the mother of three children. Her interests include sewing, gardening and her children. She also serves as referee and chauffeur to her family. Jeana holds a Masters Degree in Audiology from Utah State University and has practiced as an audiologist since 1989. She has worked in private clinic, hospital and in school settings. Her favorite thing as an audiologist is to see the look on a person’s face when they hear better for the first time.

 
Marsha Bennett
Audiology technician
She was born and raised in Lehi and now lives in Highland with her husband Doug. She has 5 beautiful daughters, all of whom are now married, and she is the grandmother of 14 wonderful grandchildren. Marsha loves spending time with her family, especially loving and spoiling her grandchildren. She loves being in the mountains. She would love to travel, but mostly just loves being at home with her family. She has worked for Timpanogos Hearing & Balance from the day the practice began and in her opinion Dr. Garrett is the best Doctor of Audiology in the state.

 
Leslie Stone
Audiology technician
Leslie was born in Uah, where she spent most of her childhood, except for a few years in Arlington Texas. She is married with 4 children and 1 grandchild. She has lived in the American Fork area for years, with the exception of 6 years in Vernal. Her background has been in the dental field, but she is excited to be working in the hearing industry. She loves to garden and enjoys design and home decorating.

Sheri Hooper
Patient Care Coordinator
She was born in Central Florida and raise in Southwestern Virginia, and now lives in American Fork with her husband Boyd and their 4 children. She loves to cook, garden, and spend time in the outdoors with her family. She and her husband own a theraputic boarding school for struggling teens. She loves her part time work here at Timpanogos Hearing & Balance because of the wonderful work environment and people with whom she works!

 
Kim Garrett
Office Manager
She is married to Dr. Garrett. They live in American Fork with their 3 children who can often be seen helping around the office as well. Kim grew up in Highland, and with the exception of college at Utah State and a mission to Brazil, she has lived in the American Fork area all of her life. She likes to cycle, is learing to play golf, and she loves to play and watch sports– especially when her kids are playing!
