Meet the Staff of Timpanogos Audiology

Layne GarrettLayne M. Garrett, Au.D., FAAA, CCC-A– Dr. Garrett was born and raised in American Fork. His family has a long tradition of serving the health needs of the residents of Utah County (his grandfather was Dr. Guy Richards). Following his LDS mission to the deaf in the Boston Massachusetts Mission, he decided to pursue Audiology as a profession. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders from Utah State University, a Master of Science in Audiology from Brigham Young University, and his Doctor of Audiology from the Salus University. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and certified by the American Speech Language-Hearing Association. Prior to opening Timpanogos Audiology, Dr. Garrett worked for Sonic Innovations in the Customer Care division working with and training hearing professionals across the country to ensure their patient’s hearing aids were working correctly. He also split his time working in the research department at Sonic Innovations. He has served as a mentor for Audiology interns from Utah State University and has lectured Audiology graduate students at Brigham Young University. Dr. Garrett is the Director of Audiology for America Helps (a humanitarian relief organization for Africa) and is active in Local and International Service through Rotary International. He is also actively works with the American Diabetes Association. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, golf and amateur radio. He is married to Kimberlee Bennett from Highland and has 3 children.

Jeana BodineJeana Bodine, M.S., CCC-A – Jeana was born and raised in Lehi, Utah. She is married to Jay and is the mother of three children. Her interests include sewing, gardening and her children. She also serves as referee and chauffeur to her family. Jeana holds a Masters Degree in Audiology from Utah State University and has practiced as an audiologist since 1989. She has worked in private clinic, hospital and in school settings. Her favorite thing as an audiologist is to see the look on a person’s face when they hear better for the first time.


Marsha BennettMarsha Bennett – Marsha Bennett is an Audiology technician. She was born and raised in Lehi and now lives in Highland with her husband Doug. She has 5 beautiful daughters, all of whom are now married, and she is the grandmother of 14 wonderful grandchildren. Marsha loves spending time with her family, especially loving and spoiling her grandchildren. She loves being in the mountains. She would love to travel, but mostly just loves being at home with her family. She has worked for Timpanogos Audiology from the day the practice began and in her opinion Dr. Garrett is the best Doctor of Audiology in the state.


Sharon DustinSharon Dustin – Sharon Dustin is also an Audiology technician. She is a native Californian, born in Concord (near San Francisco) and was raised in Monterey as well as in the San Joaquin Valley. As a young adult she moved to Lancaster, California where she married and raised her family. In 1999 she was pleased to move to Utah where she quickly fell in love with the American Fork area. Sharon is a porcelain artist, painting mostly for pleasure. She loves gardening and landscape design. She is interested in family history and has enjoyed traveling to New England several times to do research. She’s the proud mother of one daughter and three sons, and grandmother to eleven granddaughters and five grandsons. Sharon has always loved meeting people and finds great pleasure in working with the patients of Timpanogos Audiology.
